Urgent-work permit disqualified

Good day Guys,

I received an email from the High Commission of Canada that my work permit has been disqualified under the Subsections 40(1)a and 40(2)a. The reasons are:

1. I failed to disclose my visa refusal for USA in 2012 which is unintentional as I completely forgot. I further contacted the US Embassy if they can provide me a copy of the visa refusal; they said that its already more than 5 years and they do not keep such records and there is nothing in written that could be provided.

2. They failed to contact my previous employer and they are concerned about the validity of the reference letter. Eventually, I spoke to my previous employer to confirm this and he said he never got a call or email from the High Commission.

I have now been given 30 days to comment on the above in writing. I will highly appreciate your help and advise here as I might get banned for 5 years if I do not clarify on the above. Responding to them in writing, does it means that I must send them a letter or I can just reply to that email? Is there any kind of template email for that or any additional CIC document to fill. Humble request to please advise. Thank you.

Regards,

Vicky

You have to answer very tactfully. Mention it as being an honest mistake due to the amount of time which has passed for US refusal and mention you can provide additional documents or answer questions if required to prove your employment was genuine. You can send the reply by email, there is a high chance your Visa would be requested but you should focus on not getting the ban just as you said.
Good luck.
Thank you so much.
