URGENT. What to do if bank statements for last 6 months are not in English?

My bank cannot issue a statement in English. They only can give that to me in Danish.

There is really not a lot of text, as it is just numbers and are really self-explanatory. However, there are more than 20 pages of transactions and translating this will cost a fortune because translators charge per page regardless of how much text there is.

Do you think it can be rejected if I send them the original one in Danish?
The alternative route is, I can give them statements in English which bank issues every quarter, but they are one month behind from when I apply. Would that be okay?

Can you get a letter from the bank on their letterhead with all the required details? If you can, then the quarterly statements will work fine in addition to the letter.

Proof of funds
Purpose
To confirm whether the applicant meets the low-income cut-off (LICO), assessed by the amount of money they hold compared to the number of people in their family

Document requirements
  • The applicant should provide an official letter(s) from one or more financial institutions that lists all current bank and investment accounts as well as outstanding debts, such as credit card debts and loans.
    • o The letter(s) must be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution and must include the applicant’s name, the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and email address), the account numbers, the date each account was opened and the current balance of each account as well as the average balance for the past six months.
  • Other documents may also be requested, as necessary.

Yes, I have the letter from the bank with the list and current balances of all accounts, but nothing about the average balance for the past six months. They cannot provide that, so they gave me the statements with their letterheads. The ones that only come out quarterly.

If your balance on the letter is more than the LICO and you have the quarterly statements, and all this is in English, you are good.
