Hello Guys,

I am in a pickle. So I have submitted my PR application through express entry (FSWC) on 20th August, 2015). My status is:

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents No additional documents are needed at this time
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed In Progress
A final decision has been reached Not Started

I need my second AOR to apply for my BOWP (Bridge Open Work Permit) as my PGWP expires in a week. I tried searching on the forum but no one has a clear answer really. Can you guys share you timeline for when your review of eligibility gets updated to MET/ PASSED?

If anyone has any additional information for if you needed IMM5802 to apply for an open BOWP please feel free to give more information. I am currently holding a PGWP.

THANKS A TON!

it doesn't get updated. It stays in review until the application is closed.
Not everyone gets sent the second AOR. According to my GCMS notes I passed the eligibility 2 months after I submitted my application. But you're good to apply for the BOWP, its taking so long for those to be processed you'll have passsed eligibility by the time they get to yours.

Did you pay your RPRF fee upfront?

I learnt from this forum that, CIC asks to pay the RPRF fee after the PA meets the minimum eligibility requirements of the program he/she applied for. If you have received a request to pay RPRF fee, may be you can use that to apply for your BOWP.

Incorrect.
I passed eligibility on July 8th. I was asked for RPRF on September 10th.
They ask for final payment when they've made a decision. So at the end of the process.

You passed your eligibility much before your RPRF request right.

So, applying BOWP with RPRF request form should be OK as the PA could have met the requirement for applying a BOWP as passed the eligibility much before he/she is applying for BOWP.

From CIC website: The bridging open work permit (BOWP) requires that the foreign nationals have submitted their application for permanent residence and that CIC has provided a “positive eligibility assessment”.

THanks puplesnow! That is exactly what i heard. I know someone personally who never received a "second" AOR. She was asked for her passport on Oct 14th, 4months and 1 week after applying.

I already applied for BOWP today with an explanation letter and hoping for the best now. A little scared but I guess there is nothing I can do :(!

You guys ARE GREAT help! thanks again! if you know anything else about the BOWP or the second AOR please let me know!
