Hi
My friend has applied for permanent residency in jan 2014.
She is expected to get pr status at the end of this year .her annual income for last year 2013 is $37000.
My question is that is she eligible to invite her parents on supervisa after getting her PR status on the basis of 2013 income (income as temporary residence ).
Please reply

Super visa usually requires you meet a minimum Lico score but it doesn't seem as rigid as sponsorship so as long as you can show you are capable of supporting them while here you should be fine or better still, apply for regular visa

good luck

Thanks twiggy
So if my friend meets LICO, she is eligible to apply for supervisa right after her permanent residency

I dont believe they base the requirement on how long the sponsor has been a permanent resident or not. remember, they still have to prove ties to their home country and its more about them returning after their temporary visit versus your ability to support them in canada

good luck !!!!

Hi,

I agree with Twiggy, I have seen most Super Visa application approved if you are able to prove your support here in Canada as well as prove strong ties to their home country. I have also noticed it is likely to get a Super Visa than a regular TRV. Further you also need to have $100,000 Insurance coverage for 1 year from a Canadian company.

If you need further information about Super Visa Insurance you may reach me at vikas@punjabinsurance.ca

Thanks
