my friend applied for pr and recieved medicals with passport request .

now the problem is this the spouse passport is damage and he have applied the same but will recieve in few days.

if any reason the person dont get passport in time then wht will happen. if the principal applicant can go further with childrens or they have to move all together.

If the principal applicant has claimed Spouse points then it is very imp to send her passport as well. If he knows the time frame when then passport will come and knows it will stretch beyond the date of passport request, contact the embassy or write a letter to them asking for extension and explain the problem.

Even granting that their points are above 67, why would he or she even consider leaving the spouse behind when all it will take is to do Rocky's suggestion which is to write the embassy and ask for extension.

Even if he scores 67 points without adaptability points then also there's a big chance that CIC will hold the visa stamping and will ask to restart the immigration application process as it will be considered as change in immigration plan from the candidate's side. So it's better to inform the incedent of passport damage and ask for their suggesttion and extention of time line (if possible) without any more delay.

I think the most important thing is that you have mentioned the damage passport's number of your spouse on the application forms and also have submitted the copied when u submitted the full application. So please inform the embassy first of all and then quickly apply for a new passport and definatelly they will ask for the dmage passport again to have a look for their satisfaction for sure.

Hi, I know you are looking for answers but can I ask you a question instead if you don't mind. Did you apply under the new or old rules? I'm just trying to figure out if CIC is sending medical and passports together in the same letter these days? Thanks.
