Hi there I applied for spousal sponsorship I’m in Canada, my wife (in Pakistan) got the COPR email/letter and the request to submit her passport. In the letter it mentions to fill out appendix A which requires the passport information of herself, spouse/partner and dependent children (if applicable). My passport is expiring on Nov 21, 2021 and she has until Dec 05, 2021 to submit her passport. Does it matter if my passport expires after she submits her passport? As I’m not getting a visa or anything, I’m a Canadian citizen living in Canada. Please help.

Doesn't matter. You aren't a dependent on the application and COPR won't be issued for you. She should not have to list you in the appendix.

That’s what the appendix A looks like, and there’s also this statement that’s got me thinking. Or is the following only for couples who’re getting the COPR together in Pakistan etc?

Note on visa validity:

Your Permanent Resident document(s) will expire one year after the date of your medical examinations or earlier if your passport or the passports of your spouse or dependant children (if applicable) expire on an earlier date.

None of that information needs to be provided for spouse/partner and dependents who are already citizens or permanent residents. Only provide that information for applicants. (Citizens and Prs cannot be applicants to become PRs.)

So in the “Appendix A” that I posted a couple of posts above, should my wife just ONLY write her passport info and submit it? My passport info, being the spouse/sponsor and a Canadian citizen isn’t needed in Appendix A?
