Dear experts, please suggest. I have submitted my e-Apr couple of days ago with 482 points. Out of that, 10 point is awarded for my spouse education. She is a medical graduate and her ECA is done through WES. I am not sure CIC is going to reject this ECA or not. If so, how long it takes to withdraw a submitted application. I would like to create a new EE profile, can i open a new mycic account and a new EE profile? Please suggest :(

Why would you think her ECA will be rejected by CIC?

Because thats how it states in CIC website, its not clear though because my wife is not claiming any work exp nor has any NOC, but in personal history section, she has worked as general practitioner

Assessment for specialist and family physicians
You must get your report from the Medical Council of Canada (Date designated: April 17, 2013) if your primary occupation is:

specialist physician (2011 NOC code 3111), or
general practitioner/family physician (2011 NOC code 3112).

If she is not claiming any points for her work experience as a medical practitioner and you haven't gained any points for it, it won't be needed.

What was the CRS cutoff for your draw?

If you lose the 10 points and are still above the cutoff, I wouldn't be worried.

I am not gaining any points for her work experience, but I am gaining points for her education through ECA from WES. In ECA, it states as a professional degree, hence I am getting 10 points for this. Now if they dont accept the ECA and deduct this 10 points, I will fall to 472, which is lower than cutoff point 475 of my invitation round, any second thought? :(

I don't think they will reject her ECA.

I was going through similiar posts and noticed u asked this question a while back and a very senior member said yes, you can go ahead with Wes. Do u think it would be good to ask again.....if they said yes, there should be some reason.....may be u don't need to withdraw

Thanks ItsMe and CanadaWelcome for your valuable suggestions

others who did not obtain the correct ECA have been refused, and I believe you should expect it to be a problem (sometimes people get lucky, but by the rules, this ECA will be discounted).

One of three things will happen -

(1) your application will be returned as incomplete, because of the lack of a valid ECA.
(2) your application will be put into processing, you will lose the 10 points, and be refused for failing to meet the CRS cut off for your draw.
(3) the VO will either miss the fact that it is an invalid ECA, or give your wife a pass.

I think scenario 3 is the least likely.

I dont get one thing, WES does this evaluation only for CIC purpose, so why do the produce an ECA which has no use case or they dont have jurisdiction? They could have evaluated the degree as Bachelor, which in fact it is. But they evaluated it as Doctor of Medicine

Good question. Was it done recently? My understanding is that recently WES has been refusing to to ECAs for immigration purposes, where IRCC has decided to require a different assessor.

Its done in late october, 2016

Hi There,

I need help and opinion of experts please.

I have applied my PR through AINP on a Paper Base application and got my AOR in Feb, linked my application as well on cic.

Right now I am the main applicant and my spouse is a dependent. Unfortunately, things did not work out btw us and we are having a Divorce. Since Marriage was registered in PAKISTAN, and we both hold Pakistani passports divorce laws are going to be followed of Pakistan. So far, I only sent a divorce deed notice to spouse address and to Union Council. It will take around three months of the process to get the Divorce Certificate from the Union Council to make it legally seperated.

My concern is should I tell CiC right now to remove my spouse( dependent) from my PR file or should I wait until I get the Divorce certificate from Pakistan ? If I tell right now they will ask for the legally separated document which will I get in next three months. But, If I wait to get the certificate what If I get a call for Medical of me and my spouse ? Please give some opinions.

My timeline is : PR paper based application thru AINP got AOR Feb 05, 2017 profile linked with CiC and waiting for Medical now.

Any help would be highly appreciated
