Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi,

I'm applying for a Jan 2014 intake study permit. Whilst filling up the form, I came across a section which asks if you have ever been refused a visa. I have been rejected a US tourist visa twice.

Do you think I should include the details in the form? My consultant advises against it.

It is also worth noting that my whole family lives in the US, legally, except me.

Thanks.

Yes you should! I asked this question and everyone replied that we should not conceal any such refusal info. Also it is highly suspected that Canada and US share visa info so you should definitely disclose such info. I will be disclosing it too. Consultants give crap advise to be honest.

Thank you for your response. My consultant had even suggested not to disclose that my family lives in the US. Problem is I donot have enough ties in India and that can go against my case.

I think its the right thing to do to disclose the true information. Lodging my application tomorrow. Lets hope for the best..

It will b in ur best interest to disclose..
as your whole family has a valid status in the US.

So nothin good is gonna come by hiding it..
Your family details will neways give a clear clue about your ties..

so go ahead.. concede..

Well they will know anyways even if you don;t tell them coz when they put your passport Number in their computers everything pops clear as day so better to be honest otherwise your visa could be rejected based on misrepresntation and a ban of maybe 5 years from entering canada aswel

Agreed. Wrong information could pose a problem in the future, even if I get a visa. Thanks.

I think that if you are a genuine student they will give you study visa regradless of ur previous rejections. Normally problems can be if you overstayed any previous visa or lived as an illegal immigrant and got deported or got visa cancelled at POE or caught for Fraudulent documents. Best of Luck bro :)
