Hi,

For sponsorship (in India) you need;

I quote SPP/General Visa Checklist,

“Reference letter from the individual(s) providing you financial assistance for your program. The letter must indicate their occupation and relationship to you, the number of dependents they have and their full contact details. You should also provide a letter from the employer of the individual(s) providing you financial assistance for your program, clearly indicating employer contact details and full street address of business location.”

In short you need;

1. One reference letter (good if it’s on official letter head and add one notorized affidavit as well…just as a supplement!) showing,

- Sponsor occupation
- Relationship to you
- Number of dependent they have!
- Full Contact details.
- One letter from the Sponsor’s employer (on a letter head) showing; 1. Employer contact details 2. Business address.

No one is going to trustyour notarized affidavit (in India), so use it more as a supplement with the required reference letter.

For your reference I quote one post of dadakoko, a member who secured visa based on a sponsorship. It’s very useful.

"Hi All,

Enfield is it a claim if I have gotten the Visa?

Yes I got the Visa and yes I had sponsors from 2 countries but this is what I did:

a) I made sure I had the $10,000 needed for me the main sponsor and $4,000 for my spouse in my account for about 4 months.

b) I paid 1 year Tuition fees.

c) My Admission letter stated that I would need about $29,000 for 1 year. I therefore made sure I had about $15,000 in addition to the amount in (a) above to make the $29,000.

d) My sponsors sent in their letter of sponsorship as well as 6 months bank statements and other relevant investments documents. They also sent in their Visa status in the respective countries of residence.

In addition to the above of course I added, my SOP and other relevant documents.

Yes you can use sponsors from any where in the world as far as you can prove relationship and ensure the required monies are in your account. That is what I did!"

Thanks Enfield.

Now I'm clear about the Affidavit document(reference letter from Sponsor).

Just a small query on Reference letter from Employer of Sponsor.

One letter from the Sponsor's employer (on a letter head) showing; 1. Employer contact details 2. Business address.

The thing is my Dad were working in Govt service however teh company got closed and he had to take VRS(Voluntarily retirement services) after that he was working in different firms, companies.

Now he is working in a shop( basically an agency) as a sales represntative from last 1 yr. The employer is willing to give the reference letter on their letter head.

What are all details required on that letter?
Employer contact details, business address, dad's employment start date, salary.

I just wanted to know whether the salary is required on that letter?

Hi,

May I ask you who is going to be your sponsor ?

Your father ?

There is NO NEED to make your Parents as your sponsor. It's not required.

Anyway, there is no need to mention salary on the reference letter of sponsor's employer. If that's the case, CHC shall ask for sponsor's ITR details as the same is the only way to verify sponsor's salary. But NO such requirement exist.

If possible get reference letter from the branch office. I mean it's better to avoid retail level office.

Sponsor in my case is little bit complicated.

My dad had sold a land of worth Rs. 14 Lacs (proof is in native language, I'm converting it to ENGLISH for VISA purpose) 6 months ago for my higher education purpose.

As I'm working from last 4 yrs, I've accumlated a fund of Rs. 1,40,000 ( I've 3yrs ITR)

My brother (who is married and have dependants)has paid my first semister fees alredy.(as he has dependant I'm not showing him as sponsor)

My loan of Rs. 7,50,000 is about to approve. (will confirm this weekend)

So finally I'm showing my Dad as Pimary sponsor, secondary my Loan( if finalized) and last myself. (I'm not going for SPP as the tution+living+travel amount's 80% is not equal to loan amount)

as my dad is sponsoring me, and his income is non taxable (he earns 10000 to 12000 per month, with no salary slips)

In this case for my VISA purpose, do I need to show my dad's income? or just teh amount and land sell paper will do. (P.S. the amount Rs. 14 lac is not fixed deposite, its liquid cash in Bank from last 6 months.)

My tution fees is $17010 +living 9332 + books 875=$27217 out of which I've paid $5700 fees last week

Could you please suggest what shall I do? or how to represent my Case?

Thank you very much in advance. (sorry I'm bugging you a lot, but planning to submit for VISA around 20 Oct so want information urgent)

dude as you are applying under general so it is necessary to show income tax papers, but as your father don't have incomtax payble income so you have to put incometax form i.e 15G or 16G that i'll confirm you.. and rest things are all fine....so don't worry, because you have 7+ lacs loan and $10000 + deposits ...so no need to worry...regarding finance you dont have any objection but don't forget to put property evaluation paper coz it is very imp...

Hi,

1. Your Parents can not be your sponsor because there is no such requirement. They are free to support you financially and for that you do not need any sponsorship letter from your Parents

2. Fund requirement is same in case of SPP and General category.

3. For Visa purpose;

You total expenses : CAD 27217
You need 80 % of the said figure : CAD 21,774 (80 %) – CAD 5,700 (tuition you already paid)
= CAD 16,074 (approx. Rs. 7.72 lacs)
Your loan amount : Rs. 7.50 lacs

You are qualified even with your loan amount.

4. No need to attach Parents salary slip/ITR (if not available). Only mention this figure on the ‘Student Questionaire Form'

You put off following things:

1. LOA
2. Tuition fee receipt
3. Your ITR details (very important as it will prove your level of establishment/family tie)
4. Your work experience letter on an official letter head (Again very important for you, though not a part of visa checklist)
5. IELTS TRF
5. Bank statement (showing that 14 lacs surplus). It does not matter if that account is in your Parents name.
6. Attach sales deed of both English translated and native language. (to prove the surplus of 14 lacs, though not required but you likely to receive question form in case CHC wish to know the source of money, so it's better to include it in advance)

I know you are aspiring for a ‘Project Management' course of 1 year duration. I am not very confident for this course that's why I am stressing on point number 3 and 4. Also, work very hard on your ‘Student Questionnaire' form.

For your reference I would like to summarize about the documents/things I submitted in my case;

1. Photocopy of LOA from a MBA school (with one condition)
2. IELTS TRF (Photocopy)
3. Pre Medicals (in Original)
4. Certified Loan paper (in original) * Loan amount was exactly the 80 percent of my whole expenses for two years
5. One Bank statement (of myself only, not of Parents) which holds nothing except few thousands rupees.
6. Mark sheet and degree certificate (photocopy) * I have two degrees, one with first class with distinction marks and First Rank Merit certificate and Award (for consecutive two years)
7. GMAT test score report
8. No ITR (same was not available at that time)
9. No Work experience letter (same was not available at that time)
10. No property valuation, No SOP/Cover letter

With such a terrible visa application, I finally managed to secure visa after 139 days.
