My spousal application was returned asking me to fill out a completed page 3 of IMM 0008 Form, however the form was complete and included in the application the first time...I showed it to lawyer and he says the form is indeed complete so just print out a new one again and send it back with a cover letter saying that it is complete... but I have a doubt about the page 3 again.. My spouse/husband is in London/UK and Iam sponsoring him to come here I am a Canadian Citizen... We have no children, he has no dependents i hope that parents or sibling are not included in the dependent section...as far as I comprehend..so my question is. since we have no dependents..should we leave the dependents section empty...this way the form will not validate...but if we click on remove the dependent button then page three becomes so small with just a couple of questions about education and language... thats what we did before the first time around, is that why the visa officer returned it ? should i not click on the remove dependent button and fill in the empty sections with Not Applicable or NONE? then what the hell is the use of that stupid button then? would the form validate like that? this is such a pain in the a***... iam extremely frustrated...the lawyer says your forms are complete..and determines that the visa officer missed to look at your page 3 in hurry while it was already there. as he has highlighted and stamped all other pages of the form from 1 to 5 except page 3...what the hell does he want me to do with it i dont understand...!!

Please help me out some one...thanks..

Moreover..the additional family information form IMM 5406 was also complete with the information of me, his parents and siblings. :'( i dont know why CIC are putting us through this hell

Hello Roze123,

you should not leave them empty or blank, if that section does not applied to you and you should put in NOT APPLICABLE...I think that the reason CPC return it to you. But your lawyer should able to catch them before you submit your application.

Hi Roze123 sorry to hear about this!!
I don't know whats wrong with CIC, the button is there for a reason, if you don't have a dependent you can click and remove it.
btw when did you submit your application?

Actually, i think you didnt understand..There was no gaps or blanks because we used the remove dependent butoon, so there were no empty spaces left.

Try calling the CIC and explain them your situation. Tell them everything is filled out correctly and ask them why is it send back and what should you do in this case.

Did you use the NEW forms? They need to be validated with a barcode sheet...

Maybe you missed the signature in part 2? We nearly missed that one. So it needs to be written (NONE, or N/A) in the box and the sign the line right below it. There are three signature spots on that one page.

If you don't mind me asking, from your post it seems that you sent in your application in February for sponsorship application and CIC returned it in mid-June? I've seen a couple of cases when they asked for additional documents, and they didn't lose their place in the queue. But they had a letter from the CIC and they returned the application with the letter on top of it.

As for the IMM0008, we also don't have kids, and we used the button to remove the dependents section, and then after all information was entered, we used the "validate" button to generate the barcode page. Keep in mind, though, that from the end of March onwards, CIC wants everybody to use the new forms. 3 forms had been updated when we sent in ours. Make sure you check the cic website for the latest versions of the froms before you send your application package to them again.

Hope things get resolved for you. I know it's really frustrating. Hang in there, and send it off as soon as you can. Hopefully, all will be alright this time.

Nicelina,

BCgirl is talking about the IMM5406 form "Additional Family information" which has 3 section with 3 signatures line
IMM008 form has only one signature which is on the last page.

I think the three signatures are for the form IMM5406. I don't remember 3 signatures in IMM008 form
