I applied to sponsor my husband, we are currently living together outside of Canada, we are in the final steps of the process and now the office in our country asked me for a resignation and plane ticket as a proof that I will be relocating. It doesnt make sense as my husband hasnt received his visa yet!! What should I do?!
Can I book a two way ticket in case my husband doesnt receive it by the time I am there? Can it be a ticket in December or it does have to be within these 2 months?
I need all your expertise please.
We are in the middle east which I now know is not unusual to ask about this.

CIC has become pretty picky about giving proof that you are relocating. Have you already submitted other proof and are they asking specifically for the resignation letter and plane ticket? If you have to leave a month or two before your husband it shouldn't be a huge issue if it leads to PR for him.

I can see that, but I do have a problem as we have a 2 year old son together, and its already in the application as a dependent child, they should put that in consideration!!

Did you not get citizenship for your child and his/her passport? When you marry someone abroad, live abroad and have a child abroad sometimes you have to make sacrifices. Many applicants didn't follow through and resettle in Canada as promised so others have to deal with the consequences.

They are taking into consideration all of the other people from that region who said they were returning but didn't.

Just buy a fully refundable one way ticket.

Ok, guess I have no other choices, but to make it clear, 1. It has to be a one way ticket?
2. Do I book for my husband as well, or just for me and my son?
3. Can it be for next December?
4. Can it be in a different province that the one my husband will land? As my family is in another province, I can stay with them until they grant him the visa. Thank you in advance

1. That depends on CIC but yes I'd think they want a one way ticket to show you will resettling in Canada.
2. No don't book a flight for your husband until he gets COPR.
3. Seems like they are wanting something sooner or else you could decide not to go.
4. Yes it can be any province although if you will be spending under 6 months in that province you won't qualify for healthcare because you won't meet the healthcare residency requirement/. Doublecheck for your particular province.

It does seem like they want to see that you are back in Canada before they approve your file but we haven't seen the correspondence you have been receiving.
