If I have closed work permit for NOC code 2174 and I am working in Canada for last 12 months on same work permit. This clearly means that person is performing same duties which was applicable for NOC code 2174 because he got the work permit for same.
Please let me know if I still need the reference letter with jobs and responsibilities.
I can submit the same reference letter which I have got from my employer before applying for work permit and it has all the roles and responsibilties for NOC code 2174.
I can submit my salary slips, T4 and income tax assessment letter. Also a bonafide letter from my employer will be provided, this contains other details but not the roles and responsibilties.
Please let me know if this will be sufficient,

With all this, you will still need Employer Reference letter with Duties and responsibilities.

Your work permit or employer letter for WP doesn't prove your 12+months experience..at least from CIC visa officer point of view.

Try to get latest letter from your HR ..some times WP extension related employer letter might work.

Guys, have a question:

Reference letter from employer with description of duties only (no info re: hours and salary) - don't know whether it's gonna be a problem in future

Please advise

Thanks

See checklist: www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5610E.pdf

It will really be helpful for applicants to provide this checklist to their employer or copy and paste it in a word document as it enables the person preparing the letter to know what is required.

Number of hours worked per week, total annual salary plus benefits are some of the information the letter should have. You can request a letter containing this information, or if you submitted your most recent paystub, it should show your annual salary(year to date) and your hours worked per week.

SenoritaBella --

Thank you for your response.

I did provide copy of T4 for 2011 and 2012, also included Notice of assessment for 2011, gonna have one for 2012 in a month or so, did not submit any pay-stubs.

Got salary increase since January this year, should it be mentioned in letter as well?

The reason I'm a bit worried now is one of recent posts re: application rejection - so........ really nervous now... :(

The salary increase isn't a big deal. As long as your employment letter mentioned everything information on that checklist, you should be fine. If it doesn't, hopefully the visa officer will call and confirm first before making a decision. Try not to worry about it, nothing you can do about it now.

I think I should ask my employer for a new letter just in case... Hope it's gonna be fine with submitting additional one with more information.

Thanks a lot!

If your employer will provide you the letter highlighting job duties/responsibilities, I don't think you will have any problem in getting the details about your salary and hours. Get the updated letter with all the mandatory information and send it over once you receive AOR.
You need to mention Name, DOB, UCI, AOR number in the cover letter.

Actually some employer do not want to give this type of letter intentionally, so we need to find other way to prove our emploment and salary etc. For salary, pay slips and T4 will be sufficient but what should be done for roles and responsibilties if employer is not mentioning that on reference letter.

Get your employer refusal in writing (email). Submit a covering letter along with your CEC application stating that your employer has refused to mention Duties and Responsibilities in the Ref. letter. Just your submission will not suffice, you will have to prove that you attempted (requested) and your employer refused. Along with this, you can yourself draft DR's in a plain paper and attach. This gives you a bleak chance of getting through.
