Urgent Question: System engineer and NOC 2172

hi Guys,

my brothers official designation is system engineer but he is working on database related stuff and from a duties perspective is qualifying in NOC 2172.

but if I look at NOC 2173, it also lists system engineer in its list of titles.

so I am now confused, can I still use NOC 2172 for my brother because the work he does is matching the duties of this NOC but designation not exactly falling under the job titles that are listed.

please advise folks.?

Hi Bro,

He can apply for 2172 as you said it matches his job description. According to our seniors I have read, CIC will matched the duties listed. And system engineer is not too far for being administrator as long as he is also doing db administrator job.
