I cannot get a national passport because of being a refugee and i have a job offer from another country which requires a national passport for issuing a work visa . Does this situation count as urgent ? I’ve already applied as a normal applicant and have been waiting since oct 2019

No, its not considered as urgent.
Also dont risk your application by requesting for something other than Canada job.

My wife submitted her application on June 21
App delivered June 24
We received her acknowledgment of receipt today June 30
Does this mean that her urgent request is approved?
She submitted work document from her employer that state that her job requires a Canadian citizenship.

Yes, this means her urgent request has been accepted. Good luck!

Hi everyone
My husband sent a request for urgent processing and got the reply that if he needs to do urgent processing he has to do through the webform, and thats what he did. Question is what should he select from the drop down menu as they dont have an option that says urgent processing of citizenship, and when he send it the first time he sent the required documents with it, im not sure whats going on..any help please?

Requested for urgent processing last week using the webform and included doctors report and got a reply today that the information have been verified and forwarded to the responsible office, they will contact you if further information is required or decision has been made.

My question is, will I be notified if the urgent processing has been approved ?

AFAIK, no, they will not respond indicating if your urgent processing is approved or not.

How will anyone know if it is accepted or rejected (urgent process request)? It deals with sydney and local offices, is there is an indicator that, we can check (to see, if both offices accepted), if timeline is the only way to check, is there an average processing time for urgent requests..

The only respone i see(irrespective of citizenship/PR renewal/TRV) is "because of COVID-19...we have been backlogged", if i contact them via webform

The only indicator is that if you find your file moving a bit faster a couple of weeks after the request, then you can assume that your urgent processing request has been accepted.

I have contacted canadian force recruiter about cover letter ; he said they dont offer letters anymore to help expedite immigration process .

Unfortunately assume people abused the system so the people actually planning on entering the militaryhave to wait.
