Urgent Processing - Citizenship Application (Lets meet here )

Just got a response for an urgent processing request submitted to 2 months ago. " We have forwarded them to the responsible office for their consideration."

I called CIC today after 100 attempts lol. They said it is a good sign, it kinda passed through the first screening process, the file is now with the responsible officer. They say usually, it takes 1-4 weeks to have a decision made. The officer will reach out to me directly if not I can always call for another update. I found out that my officer is in Niagara Falls visa office.

Any job application in CA as long as it is convincing. In my case i have not received any approval of UP but forwarding confirmation, but i did see the process had been expedited, from DM to oath schedule..

Thanks for the reply, I currently work in a similar field, RCMP let’s permanent residents apply but you must have been here 3 years as a permanent resident but I’ve only been here for 2 years as a PR

Follow up Email: June 28, 2022, Except Test and ceremony, all are in Process.

Please let me know how can i make sure my Urgent processing approved as Getting the citizenship sooner.

Just called IRCC , agent confirmed me that Montreal Office have not made any decision yet! Its crazy . its been over 5weeks now

In my case, it has been 6 weeks without any updates/decisions by the Montreal office. IRCC call centre agent confirmed that earlier today. Any updates on your case?

No update on my dad's case either, he applied on April 4th and received the letter that said the information is passed to local office on May 30th. I assumed it is not approved.

Hi -

I have question regarding changing my application for urgent processing. I filed my application for canadian citizenship in Feb 2022. I received AOR in Mar 23rd.
Meanwhile I also have been waiting for my US green card application I-130 approval. I was reached out by US National Visa Center to submit document last month. I completed the paperwork just recently, then realized that if I get appointment for US green card embassy that might complicate my case for the Canadian citizenship.

I thought I will reach out to forum and see if anyone have suggestion or opinion on whether I can apply for Urgent processing?

Hi,

My citizenship application is ready for submission and I will request the urgent processing in the package of the application. The reason for urgent processing is that I have a job offer from outside Canada (UAE) and I don't want to lose the job. Is this an acceptable reason for urgent processing? And is there any template for the urgent processing request?
