My tracker is updated this morning to show that the test was marked as completed on 24th Nov. Now waiting for background check
Hi, I have a citizenship interview scheduled on Dec 1 in Scarborough. My father has serious health issues and got admitted to hospital recently. He has also been suffering from Parkinson's disease. My immigration lawyer suggested that I show the letters from doctors and hospital on the day of my interview as that would be much faster for request to expedite the oath ceremony than to send a web form now.
So I want to ask if my lawyer gave the right recommendation. Also what are the chances of the officer giving me an expedited oath ceremony date if I bring my medical reason to them during interview? Is there also a chance of getting the oath on same day?

How did you know your request was approved? I just knew that they forwarded my request to the processing office and that's all.

Hi, I had an interview yesterday with Scarborough office. Just want to share my interview experience.
The officer didn't ask much except the last time I entered Canada, whether I'm currently employed and he verified the dates on my passport. He also exporessed that he has no concerns regarding my application. I didn't send a web form but just requested for an expedited oath date during the interview. He took a copy of the doctor's letters and said he will make a note on my file requesting to expedite my oath ceremony though he clarified that it was not directly up to him to schedule the oath ceremony date. So he said hopefully, I should get an update on my oath ceremony date within 2 weeks.
My old Ecas account says Decision Made but the online tracker isn't updated yet. Does anyone know how long does it take for the online tracker to show LPP as completed?
Also, does anyone have an idea about how soon can someone receive an expedited oath date? I mean how long would be the waiting time between interview and oath date for urgent requests due to medical reasons?
Now fingers crossed and hoping for the best.
