Hello,

Looking for a concreate and quick revert.

Both my wife and I are investment bankers and planning for canada immigration via Express Entry prog. We had already given the IELTS test and also got our master degree reviewed through WES.

My score is 472 and my wife score is 481 ; in this case, I am planning to create CIC profile for my wife as chances of getting ITA is higher in her case. However, once ITA is received, will she be able to include her mother-in-law (my mom)for PR? Assuming no problem in selecting spouse (i.e. myself).

Also, once PR is issued to our family (me+wife+ my mom) will I be able to work in Canada given the primary applicant was my wife?

Also, while searching for jobs (in job bank); am I be eligible to say that PR profile is under review to potential employers?

To cut the long story short, I am simply asking the team to advise:-
1) If two different profiles are required or not.
2) If we go ahead with one profile (say my wife), will I be able work in Canada- just like the way I'd be in case of quoting myself as primary candidate.
3) If in case we file two different applications (not seems logical), how the fee structure will work out?

Ronak

Neither you nor your wife can include your parents in your PR application.

Yes. You can only say it if you get AOR and your profile status changes to under review.

To cut the long story short, I am simply asking the team to advise:-
1) If two different profiles are required or not.

You can make 2 profiles. But you must delete the other profile once you or your partner gets and ITA.

2) If we go ahead with one profile (say my wife), will I be able work in Canada- just like the way I'd be in case of quoting myself as primary candidate.

Yes. You will be PR and you wont need permission from your partner to work neither will you have any restrictions.

3) If in case we file two different applications (not seems logical), how the fee structure will work out?

You cannot do this.

Thanks a lot for you quick revert.

So in short, we will create two profiles and delete the other one. Based upon the ITA received on one profile we both can apply for PR and will have same working rights without any restriction.

In other words, Once PR is received it doesn't matter whether the other partner was primary/secondary and both partners will have same rights (as primary candidate).

Is there any way using which i can apply for my mother/parents PR?

None right now.

Once you are a PR, have worked in Canada for at least three straight years, meet the low income cutt off for sponsoring your parents, and have filed three Canadian tax returns - you will qualify to sponsor your parents.

So from the time you land in Canada and become a PR, it's going to be at least 4 years before you can sponsor your parents for PR. Once you submit the application, processing will take another 4+ years.

Until then, all your parents can do is apply to visit Canada. They can't live here.
