Hello guys,

can some one suggest me the suitable program in toronto colleges for january 2013 intake.

I have done B.Tech in computer science and engineering from PTU with 73.79%

Also Plz tell can I apply in some university for masters for january 2013 intake???

Your profile is good for Masters, you should opt for it, also the visa success rate of Masters programs are much higher.
If you don't want to go for a Masters degree, there are few IT related courses starting Jan. The Fast Track program you are talking about is of a duration of 2 years, but there are only 2week gap between semesters and no summer holiday. The course load will be more than a normal course. But plz confirm from someone who has completed the program, or is in it... I may be wrong!

Is the cousre at PG level ?? as it is FastTrack program so done in 2 years rather than 3..but bot sure whether the Advanced Diploma Program are at PG level or not

The course i am talking abt is Software Engg Technology (3429)

This is program is listed as Ontario College Advanced Diploma. When you check the admission criteria its said
"College diploma or university degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or a related discipline"

If they are saying so, means that a candidate whose has already graduated can secure admission for this course, which means this is a Post graduate course.

I have seen many college gives different names like PG diploma, Advanced diploma, Ontario College Graduate Certificate, Ontario College Advanced Diploma. All are post graduate courses..

I have also applied for Fairleigh Dickinson University, Vancouver for Masters in Administrative science in computer security and forensics.

But i am not sure that i will receive the offer letter as there are many applications and admission is merit based.

Yes, its PG diploma and u'll get admission to 3rd semester. There will be no problem for visa. Because, i got admission for the same course and i got visa.

If you are looking in toronto, senecca and humber is another good option. Eventhough senecca has many programs related to IT, most of the syllabus is out dated. I did thorough research on the syllabus and finally decided to join this program at centennial

1. No Mayank, this is a nice course. may be better than 3429, since it's co-op. Probably i have to look abt the procedures to change to it. Thanks for informing me abt this

2. Master's is an extra mile than diploma. If u got admitted to university, then u shud take it.

3. What kind of work you do? is it like testing? SAP is always related to IT, and i think you are good to go with this. However, degree in electronics may weaken you profile. But its ok. There are many ppl who survived such situations. Make sure that u make ur profile strong in all other docs u submit (like loan amt, SOP, reference letters...)

4. Both IDP and British council conduct the same exam, and i cudn't find any difference in scoring. However, i took IDP

5. Dont go after deadline. Bcoz, u have many things to do after getting admission like loan, visa and all.. so try to secure admission atleast by May 2013 if u r planning for Fall 2013 intake

6. In my knwoldge, Yes. My agent told the same. Any program which require Bachelors degree is ofcourse post graduation. and colleges offers only diploma and post secondary certificate. So, a diploma program whch requires Bachelors degree is a post graduate diploma program. Anywys, ur agent can help u more on this.
And one more thing, if u have done bachelors, u cannot just get admitted to a post secondary program. Usually, college wont accept such applications, as no one wants to degrade their education level.

Any help would you like to provide in terms of IELTS preparation as I want less but concrete and Solid/effective Materials.

I am totally in the SAP Testing but unfortunately I could not find any program related to SAP in either of Colleges or Univ.

I would apply to Univ first and along with this Colleges but only for 2 year of PG .
