Dear Forum Members,
My cousin has mailed his passport for visa stamping to Islamabad today, and then realized that he forgot to sign the passport! Does anyone know what might happen? Will they return the passport?

Please reply.......

Would he be able to contact the post office to get back his passport before the delivery to Canada?

why does is need to sign the passport? There is no need to sign the passport.
was there any forms he forgot to sign?

might be,is that a big deal to sign it????

Why would he have to sign the passport?

Passports from most countries have a place for the holder's signature in order to be valid. I had a new passport last year and when I went to board a flight, I was told my passport wasn't valid...I was shocked! ....then they went on to tell me it was only invalid because I hadn't signed it. I got out a pen - signed it and was able to proceed.

But yes, I think the poster should make every attempt to have it returned.

thnxxxx guys for ur reply,,,appreciated

My PP is not signed also yet im able to use it whenever im travelling out of the country. So i guess its not a big deal. I guess..

Agreed! I think worst case is they'll send it back (WITH visa) with a note saying "BTW, you should sign this before using it"... I wouldn't try to stop it now.
