Welcome, new wp inland i must say takes 100 days i.e almost 3.5 months, regardless of cic official processing time stated on their website is 66 days.
Around 492!at 371 now as couldnt ace in IELTS (money making game), which as well is expiring in may-19, hope by that time would receive ITA, else will go for celpip

I'm 4011 in WP, will keep same for renewal, but in EE my primary NOC is 0125 as of most foreign xp is in it.
I think it would be easy if u maintain generic one (i.e. 4011), but still listed duties on ur contract should be matched with it, and as well as same duties should go on CIC employment portal by HR, when they submit your LMIA exemption application. include TEACHING stuff related sentence as well in ur duties, if you applying under 4011, that's really crucial.
Secondly, I think you should be OK with existing WP, as condition is for PR, you should maintain legal status in canada, in ur case you have in-hand valid WP, and by the time you will get PR, still that would be VALID, and further you won't need any WP once u have PR...that's my logic....further check with experts on this forum (e.g. Scylla, jes_ON, DelPiero007), they would better assist you, create new post and tag them! they are awesome n always goes an extra mile while being v. supportive n responsive!

you know what, my work experience outside Canada has been as an assistant professor, research fellow and that includes teaching, however, my work permit and my postdoc offer dont include lots of teaching Therefore my current work permit NOC is 2121...is it okay to apply under NOC 2121 ignoring my past experience NOC 4011?

The key is as along as ur listed duties as mentioned in (contract, and ur experience letters, and ur current role) are aligned 80% match with listed noc duties...u r good to go, postdocs doesnt necessarily bound to use 4011, instead what u r n what u doing in real...so dont wry...u r good as u r biologist and postdoc, sllikewise chemist postdocs use their noc instead of 4011...so i believe no issue for u if u use 2121 by showing relevant duties in above 3 things
Just noticed u have 2121 on current wp, so maintain the same NOC as well for renewal app for WP so dont wry abt using 4011.
Hi all, i will also apply for my PR under noc 4011 as i have 1 year CEC as a postdoc, but through the whole year i did not do any teaching only research and supervising lab students. will that be a problem if it does not include teaching?
