I just had my score bumped up from 448 to 474. That was because i would be reaching 2yrs Canadian work experience by June 2 which is next month. But we all know cic calculates by month and not exact days.

My question: What if i receive an ITA this Wednesday i.e next tomorrow, even though the 2yrs Canadian work experience i got the early updated score for is not till June 2nd but my score has been updated now. Can i proceed with the PR Process and submit my application?

I just talked to a personal friend of mine now that the same thing happened to last year. he went ahead and apply and he has his PR NOW.

Pls advise.

You'll be fine if you submit post ITA application after June 2nd.

Search this forum,
I think I read somewhere that few of them had there application rejected, as immigration calculates point at the time of ITA and not when you submit application.

Re: Urgent Please.. Having mixed Feelings.

The truth of the matter is it depends entirely on:

a) The program category you get selected to apply for; and
b) The manner in which the Case Processing Officer interprets the legislation in order to process your application (some are strict and take a hard line, while others are more lenient).

One experience from my friend who was selected to apply under CEC in December 2015. she got an ITA in early December. At the time she was 3 or 4 days short of 365 days working in Canada, however by the time she submitted in late December she had passed the 365 days working mark by about 15-20 days.

She then got a rejection notice in mid January stating that she was not eligible for the CRS points score allotted at the time she accepted the ITA, and she was promptly rejected under Section A11.2 due to failing to maintain the CRS score from date of ITA receipt to date of submission for her PR application.

She subsequently got another ITA in late January and was invited to apply under CEC. She submitted mid February and as of today her application is still being processed.

Good luck with your decision.

Totally agree with this , although it won't be your fault they can say you shouldn't have been selected for ITA at this date , another month to be safe is a lot better situation
