Hi,

I sent an email in November 2012 to Ottawa regarding the concern I had regarding the fact that my work experience counted from the day I received my parchment. Following is the letter I sent along with an updated reference letter/confirmation-degree.

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am writing to you to provide you with an updated letter of employment along with supporting documents. The reason I am sending these documents is because I was recently informed that my work experience will be considered after the degree parchment is awarded in an official convocation ceremony and not when the post grad work permit was received.

I received my official confirmation letter of graduation on January 13, 2011 and was told by university advisers that this letter certifies I have completed my degree. Therefore, I originally calculated my work experience after receiving my post grad work permit on February 18, 2011.

I have been working full time for XXX from 2012/04/25 to present for a total of 7 months (not 3 months as the previous letter indicates) before submitting my application and would like to ask you please consider using this letter instead.

I am very anxious and doubtful that this unintentional miscalculation could have a great impact on my application. I really appreciate it if you kindly take into consideration all my efforts to avoid any confusion in my case. I do apologize again if this may have caused any inconvenience for you.

I just received following respond today. Is this a bad sign? Did I do something wrong? Please help me out?

Good Day,

In reference to the email below, please be advised due to technical issues, we are not able to attach the enclosed documents to your file.

Therefore, please send the mentioned documents by mail or fax at the address/number below.

The "what you should do?" is mail/fax in the letter, as they said in their email.

Thanks for the respond. I am just curious if this is going to have a negative affect on my case.

It will not affect it either way. The VO has to calculate your eligibility from the date that your application was received. It's worth a try.

Hopefully your explanation will help CIC see that they need to clarify the wording of the instructions, so ...

It does not impinge on the software regardless. All the VO has got to figure out your own eligibility belonging to the particular date the software was first got. You'll find it seriously worth an attempt. Maybe any description can assist CIC find that they need to explain all the terminology and wording for the operating instructions, consequently...
