URGENT Need info about study permit processing online general category

I received accptance letter late and after that I took medical test on 20th July, arrnging finance took time, after paying fees and getting GIC receipt. I filled my application on 6th AUG 2017
There is no Activity till today.

My scenario is bit difficult. My course will be starting on 5th Sept 2017 and last reporting date is 11th Sept 2017. The said course only has Fall or September start so deferral is not a viable option. What else can I do? I tried contacting GIC Center in order to explain my scenario but my call did not connect to the visa support agent.

If I won't get study permit in time it will be resulted in wasted year, can some one please help me with any info / suggestion.

I took medical on july 11th but like you i had to take care of financial things and i applied late on August 9th, on 28th i got a request for passport submitted it on 29th hopefully i get it back asap so i can get there.
My course starts on 6th but i plan on getting there by 15th, i would call and talk to your college to see if u can join later than 11th.

It is what it is, sorry no other option in this case as you can't travel year later with old permit. Hope you get it soon. GIC centre won't be helpful in Visa processing, so stop wasting time there, instead keep praying to get it on time.

My college is not going to allow me to join course after 11th September, I started feeling that prayers are beyond the reach of GIC.

This is really frustrating, student pay their fees in advance, transfer living expenses in advance, it really cost an arm and leg and just because processing time all his efforts are of no use.

It's really easy if this happens every year then they must create system that could cater all application in specific time frame or at least put latest date for specific semester. So no one will put himself in such tough situation.
