Hello Sr. members,

I came to know this website a month back and has tones of information and Sr. members are helping a lot. I am a MAY CEC applicant and I got the rejection for my PR. Reason: "I am not satisfied that you meet the skilled work experience requirement because the letter of reference you provided dated <Date> from <Manager Name> did not indicate the duties you performed at <company name>. As such, I am not satisfied you performed the duties NOC code 2171 and that you have acquired two years of full-time skilled work experience at a NOC type 0 or level A or B in the last three years prior to submitting your application"

My time line : Application sent May 4, AOR on Sept 4, and Rejection Nov 5.

As many of us know that the Indian company are not providing a Roles and Duties in the company letterhead and I sent only the Salary letter without the Duties and got rejected.

Now, I need a Lawyers or registered immigration consultant, the question is who is best Lawyers in Toronto/Mississauga area ? How much there fees are ? what is the different between Immigration Lawyers and registered immigration consultant.

I appreciate the help from Senior and who has engaged the Lawyers to obtaim the PR. Thanks

so sorry about ur rejection. did u provide a written explanation why the roles and duties was not stated in ur letter??. lots of people get rejected with same reason. u can as well search reject on this forum and see what they did. i am not sure u need immigration consultant if u don't plan to appeal . i am wondering what immigration lawyers can do in this situation if u can't provide what immigration require from u. They only take ur money and at last u loose. u might consider looking at PNP depending on which province ur residing.. all the best and wait for other members to advice.

Sorry about ur rejection. Agree with UJBABY, if u were not able to provide roles & responsibilities not sure how immigration consultant/lawyer would help? As it is clearly mentioned on CIC website that no added privilege will be given by use of representative

Some people have a false idea that by using lawyer/consultant their application will be approved.

However, some applicants have complained in the past that they got rejected by using consultants

Did u apply in 2012 or 2011?

Hello ujbaby,

I am able to get the Roles and Duties from my Manager in a email confirmation (not in the Letterhead) and from the Work Permit extension application. So I need to use the two documents and reapply as Lawyers can provide me alternatives. I am currently in ON area. by the way what is consider looking at PNP ?

As you suggested I will wait other to reply on this issues. Thanks

Hi...sorry to hear about your rejection..If you want to use a lawyer for refiling maybe you can contact David Cohen. I believe they charge $2000. I have no personal experience with their office or with any other immigration lawyer.

check out this link for their contact information

PNP is another type of Immigration. It's short for Provincial Nominee Program.

Any body knows how to solve this matter

My husband is a Dutch citizen and we applied for spousal application in 2007 and now it is rejected saying that he is inadmissible but the IAD didn't found enough evidence for inadmissibility so send him back to the CBSA office for further examination but the CBSA give him an exclusion order . So is there any one knows about this situation who can help me out please

You're posting in a thread that is five years old. The thread you're posting in also relates to a Canadian Experience Class rejection due to missing duties in a job letter. Your situation is completely different (spousal sponsorship refusal due to inadmissibility). I would recommend you post your question to the Family Sponsorship section of the forum and provide the full details of your case. It's unlikely anyone will be able to assist with the limited information you've provided above.
