Hi All,
I did my PR card short landing in August and left Canada two weeks after landing. I have now received a notification from CIC that my PR card photo is rejected and I need to send 2 new photos within 60 days. Can you please help me with the following queries:

1) Since I am already outside Canada, I would need to take the new photograph in my country. Since the specifications mention that I need to write the photographer and address, Can I write address outside Canada?
2) Is it ok to send the photos directly from outside Canada or is it better to send it through a local address?
3) There is no reason mentioned as to what is the problem with the photograph. Is there a way to find out the reason?

Any suggestions or pointers would be immensely helpful.

Thanks in advance.

yes now immigration changed photo size it must be 50mm x 70mm and head size must be 31mm x 36 mm u can search online for photo size

Hello ,

I am being asked to submit my photographs again. I have two different sets of new photograph taken on 2 different dates in last two months ready with me. I have tried to meet the specifications in both the sets but not sure which on to send, although they look identical with minor difference only.

Should I send both sets along with an explanation letter about why I am submitting two different sets?

I landed on 31st July 2017 and on 21st Sept 2017 i received an email that my photo size is not matching and was requested to send a new 2 copies which i did and was received on 27th Sept 2017.I want to know the status of my PR card. How long does it take to get your card?I tried calling CIC 18882422100 option 2320 but it keep saying due to high call volume we are unable to take the call and requested me to check under my cic login page but even there i dont see any update.Kindly help.

Please did you eventually send your photos from abroad? and did you encounter any problems?...Myself and Family are currently in the same boat.

Same.

Photo rejected. No reason given. I had problem with son's passport photo - it was too dark in the scan. The high commission was nice enough to email me what the scan looked like so I could show it too my photographer. I might try contacting them again, see if they have any insight into this.

Quite annoying. really as the photo put on to the CoPR - supposed to be the one they use - could have been checked then.
