Hi

I like to pursue business related course in Canada.

I prefer either George Brown College Casa Loma Campus,Information Systems Business Analysis Program (Postgraduate) (T405) or Centennial College Progress Campus,International Business Management(2859).

I have 3 years of experience in both Technical as well as business side in IT industry.

Please suggest me a course which will help me to build my career as a business analyst in Canada.Which campus is the best among two?Any other suggestions?

Also, from the past posts which i checked, many have mentioned like these PG courses are not equivalent to Masters so that we cant apply for Immigration. Is that true?

Thanks in advance

Re: George Brown College or Centennial College

As per your profile I would suggest that you should go for Information Systems Business Analyst program from GBC without thinking twice. GBC is best in Greater Toronto Area.

This is a three semester course and will fetch you a 1 year post graduation work permit. It is tough to build immigration chances in 1 year. Please refer below mentioned guide for more information on Immigration.

Thanks for your reply.

George Brown offers a business analyst certification from IIBA after the course completion. When I checked the campus in internet I found the Centennial campus more attractive than Casa Loma though I dont have any idea about the faculty and placement.

Is business analyst job on high demand in Canada as its a bank city? Will my experience and this certification earn me a good job?I am confused.

You'll get the IIBA certification only if your score 78% or more in all three semester cumulative. Campus doesn't matter but the resources, faculty and placement does. This course have teacher's with minimum industry experience of about 20 Years. GBC also maintains good relation with the employers.

Business Analyst is fairly a new field here and yes, it is on demand. But it largely depends upon the individual how he/she capitalize on the opportunities provided by GBC.

Thanks a lot..

Do you know anyone from GBC who is pursuing or have successfully completed this course?I am planning for JAN 2014 intake.

Oh that great..

Are you still a student or completed the course?

I have many queries because many people in forum looks for colleges like Humber,Seneca etc.I don't have any idea about these colleges.

My visa consultant told me that many students opt for St.Lawrence,Niagara,Humber,Sheridan and Seneca.

Only very few opts for George Brown and Centennial.

Since I am very much interested in Business Analyst career I opted Otherwise i would have gone for IBM in Centennial.I dont want my decision to be wrong.

Please help.

11 weeks is long time. Meanwhile, you can complete other VISA requirements.
