Urgent need advice H1B Visa received after Canada PR Documents submission

Hi Folks,

I have a query. I am currently working in Canada and I submitted my application for PR under CEC Category which reached CIC in July and I got AOR by September.

Meanwhile I also got my H1B visa in the month of November. I also have a valid B1/B2 Visa stamped.

My questions are:-

a) Do I need to inform CIC regarding the H1B Visa stamped? Will this new visa stamping create any complications in my existing application?
b) I am planning to travel to States next week , so should I also be informing CIC Regarding this since it is a travel which is done outside Canada?

Please let me know what I should do ?? Any help is appreciated folks!!

it seems you're leaving for US for work on H1B? I think you should change your address online to your US one after you get there. But that should be all needed.

I am just going for 3 days that too to meet my friends since i have a b1/b2 visa..i will be back in canada which is why i wanted to knw if there wld be any complications.

Nopes. Ur US visa has no implications on ur PR processing.


b) I am planning to travel to States next week , so should I also be informing CIC Regarding this since it is a travel which is done outside Canada?
Nopes. You can travel out of the country as many times as you need.

I left Canada 2 weeks after sending my application and moved to USA. I received my AOR while in USA - did my medicals here and got my PR visa 3 weeks ago. So, you can be rest assured that even if you move to USA permanently, ur PR application wont be affected. All you have to do is to update ur address on file to your USA addres by sending them an email.

Please let me know what I should do ?? Any help is appreciated folks!!
