URGENT: My passport was returned today but the visa expires in 3 days

CIC spent one full year to process my case with all the police certs and such after receiving my medical. Therefore, my visa, received today on 2/7, unbelievably, expires on 2/10, leaving me only 3 days to land. Since I reside in NYC and I don't know if I can take my days off work, I appreciate to know if there is any way that I can request an extension.

My thinking is that find a few hours to travel since you are actually nearby(NYC). Go land and as soon as you are done fly back home. Most memebrs report that landing process does not usually go beyond 3 hours depending on where you land but i would think you dont want to wait 30 days for a week for a response when your visa has expired only to be told you can have an extension. I would say act very fast and find some hours and go there, land and then you can even return immediately if you want.

I'm sorry if this will sound silly but are you sure the expiry date is not October 2nd? I believe dates on Canadian visas are written dd/mm/yyyy...

You can do landing 24 hours a day. if you are busy at work, do it at night.
