Hello everyone,

I got invitation under CEC. As far as proof of funds are concerned, I got the letter from the bank but they have only provided me with Account and Balance confirmation letter. They said these are the only templates which are available and they do not provide any credit card balance or loan information on those letters.

I read on CIC website :

"Unless you are currently authorized to work in Canada and have a valid job offer from an employer in Canada, or you have been invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class, you must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada."

Please advise.

Some banks seem not to understand exactly what to put. Explain the situation in your explanation letter and attach 6 months worth of official statements, it seems it's all you can do?

Under LOE, Should I update all explanations in one letter regarding different issues or should I make different LOE for each issue and upload it in one file.

Since you have been requested to apply under CEC, there is no need to worry about Bank letters or funds. CIC website clearly states that , the last update on that page was on August 13 , pretty recently.

But evolver10, when we upload documents it asks for financial proof to upload.
So, In case of CEC it doesn't matter what format the bank is using.??

My application is under CEC and I have a job offer with LMIA and I had to provide Proof of Funds from my bank it's just there isn't a minimum - just have to be in good order.

If CEC does not need any minimum funds as per their latest update on the website for the candidates invited under CEC , the need to mention the loans and other credit details become irrelevant.

However , since its a latest update and if the bank is not ready to provide the details it would be ideal to attach latest credit card statements with an LOE explaining why the bank letter does not reflect that information.

But again its just my opinion , others might disagree.
