Hi everyone, we are finally at the last step. my parents need to submit their passports within 30 days from Jan 6, 2017 the date I received the email. However, our situation is my mom is currently in US, will be back to Canada on Jan 28, then she will leave Canada back to China on Feb 5 (which is the last day of original passport submission deadline). She needs her passport to leave Canada and enter China. Also, my dad is in China. Therefore, in order to send both of their passports, mom needs to be back to China first. On the email, it was saying if there is any reason we can't make it to the deadline, sent an email to beijing-immigration office to explain the situations which I did right away on the day I received the request. However, two weeks have passed, I haven't heard of any response, neither an update online. I have no idea what I should do. Should I change my mom's flight to an earlier date? Should I cancel my mom's flight and ask my dad to send his passport to Canada so I can mail both to Ottawa, so mom waits here in Canada? or should I just let them send their passports once my mom gets home? I just don't know what the worst scenario it could be since I did what the email told me to do. Please help!

Fly them to China urgently, if possible today, and send passports via DHL, its fastest.

I'd cancel the flight to China and send your mom's passport from Canada. And your dad's passport with DHL or othe courier. Check here how long it takes to process passports, shouldn't be too long. hi biabia, may i ask u a favor, can u recall how many days after the eCAS changed to DM till you receive email for passport? coz my wife's eCAS changed to DM for 3 weeks now, but still received nothing for CIC. Thank you first.
Hi. If you are still active in this forum please reply. I am in similar situation but the reason I can't submit my passport is because i have to travel that cant be avoided due to multiple reasons. Please share the context of the letter you wrote?
