Hi everyone,

anyone applied for the Hong Kong Police Certificate (CNCC) recently ? I added my husband to my application and they ask for the Police certificate from Hong Kong. However, I have a big issue with this document, here's my timeline :

May 29 - IRCC sent the first letter to request all police certificate wherever My husband spent for over 6 months in the past 10 years
My family went to the Hong Kong Police and help him apply it on June 7
June 24 - Police certificate delivered to Canadian Consulate General Hong Kong by registered mail. Delivered
Sept 23- IRCC sent another letter ask for the police certificate specifically for Hong Kong.
We immediately contacted the Hong Kong Police Department and they confirmed the result was delivered to the Canadian Consulate General, Hong Kong
Provided with the tracking no. Indicated delivered.
Then we sent an explanation letter attached the conversation with the Hong Kong Police to IRCC to explain the document was sent to their Hong Kong office
Nov 16 - IRCC sent another letter again said We didn't respond to their request from Sept23, and told us to send the requested document by Dec 16 or I might get refused
Nov 22 - My family went to the Police office again and ask them to send another certified true copy to the HK office.
Nov 24 - According to Hong Kong Police the 2nd copy was delivered on Nov24 and they provided a tracking no.
We immediately update IRCC that the second copy was delivered and again we attached the conversation with the HK police department to them as a proof.
Feb 18 - My immigration Consultant called IRCC to see if they have received my CNCC yet and the answer is NO.

I really don't know what else I can do, HK police insisted they already sent it twice and in fact they do have the tracking no.
but IRCC said they don't have it and I tried to contact their Hong Kong office for a several time already but they never respond.

The reason why they were delivered to the Hong Kong office is because the staff from HK police department told my family that recently many CNCC went missing when sending to Canada, so IRCC guided them to send it to their Hong Kong office instead.

I hope someone can share your experience with my or give me some advice what else I can do, It's been over 6 months and really driving me crazy

Thank you for your time reading my post and thanks in advance.

Did you find a resolution? I recently applied for the CNCC and they said the application was mailed to the Canadian consulate on April 11, 2022. While submitting my documents, the clerk asked me if I wanted it to be mailed to the consulate. I’ve never heard of this option and sounded like a good idea so I went for it. Now hearing your story, I’m terrified the same thing will happen to me. I still have 2 weeks to submit it. Hope everything worked out for you.

How does everything goes? Did IRCC receive your CNCC? I hope yes, and can you please share the timeline of it? Thanks!
