Urgent Immigration advise

Hi All,

Please advise for my case for immigration, details given below;

Education : Bachelor's of Science(majored in Physics) - full time study - 15 years

Work Experience: 1992 - 2007 in Banking & customer services
2008 till date in Interior designing

I have completed on the Job training in interior and furniture designing from my company where I presently work. I can produce an apprentice certificate for 1 year duration also.

I want to apply under the NOC code 7215 Contractors and Supervisors, Carpentry Trades. Do I qualify for the same? If yes then how much do I score in Education qualification and Work experience?

Experts / Professionals / Friends.... Please help urgently.

Looking at your current occupation (Interior Designer) and comparing it to NOC 7215, I cannot see a link between the two.
You can look up details here and can only apply if you could atleast match 70-80% of the job duties - Good luck !

I have enough points and even got RPRF but want to know becasue I don't know my total exact points.

No, Mukund...

You may get full points for your Engg degree +17yrs of education but Engineering is a regulated profession here in Canada, so unfortunately will not be considered equivalent to Canadian Standards......although the laws of Engg remains same irrespective of the place you earned it. There have been many opposition but Canada remains firm in its decision. Hope this will change some day for GOOD.

Can I get 22 points as per CIC guidelines below since Graduation involves 15 years of full time study?

You have two or more university degrees at the bachelor’s level and at least 15 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study.-22 points

Also if anyone could throw some light on the kind of apprentice certificate that will be acceptable in my case. I have an apprentice certificate of 1 year duration from my present Employer. will this be a valid/recognized one for immigration?

Hi Rajesh,

Dont worry about the recognition of your Appren cert. you have to incorporate all the education details... dont leave any gap, or else it would be difficult to justify latter.

I think you are getting confused with "Certificate/degree - Educational Accreditation" and points that you may get for your apprentice certificate.

You will get points for your Apprentice certificate.
