Urgent! Immigrant visa is expiring before my flight back to Canada

Hi there,

I have an urgent problem right now. I received my passport back from CPC-OTTAWA today. However, I noticed that my entry visa is going to expire on March 8 . My flight back to Canada is March 14. I'm leaving Canada this Wednesday. What should I do? Should I go landing tomorrow and apply for the travel document or should I change my flight?

You can try moving your return flight to a date before 8th. If that cannot be done then you will have to complete landing tomorrow. You can apply for PR travel doc from the country where you are visiting.

I tried to move the flight back to Canada, it's way much expensive than I expected. How long will it be to apply for a PR travel document?

It will depend on the your home country. But I've heard around 2-3 weeks.

It is March 8 probably because your medicals expire that day.

My advice - Either change the flight or before March 8. Once the visas expire, it is going to be hard.
