This seems a little complicated....

In the morning YorkU send me a email tells I am admitted.

Congratulations! You are being offered admission to York University. You should log directly into MyFile to review and accept your offer of admission. To review the letter for your offer of admission, please visit the “Admission Letters” page within MyFile, which will be accessible within 4 business days.

But I am not sure if I will go to york University because my other applications haven't got a decision yet.

And I found this :

https://futurestudents.yorku.ca/admissions-faq

Can I accept my offer of admission after the deadline stated on my Decision Letter?
We encourage you to accept your offer by the deadline in your Decision Letter to guarantee a spot in your program of interest.  No registration deposit is required at the time of accepting your offer. If you change your mind in the future, it is possible to then decline/change your offer through your MyFile account or OUAC. Note: You may continue to accept your offer after the posted deadline without the need for a formal extension, as long as the program has not reached capacity.  Exceptions to this and/or programs that reach capacity quickly include but are not limited to; BBA/iBBA Business Administration, BDes Design, BSW Social Work, BScN Nursing, BEd Education, BEng Engineering and BA/BSc Computer Science.

“ it is possible to then decline/change your offer through your MyFile account or OUAC. ” I didn't apply for it through the OUAC but their special office in my region. And after I click the accept , it shows :

If you wish to change your decision, you must contact Admissions by phone, 416-736-5000. Your decision must be made within the time frame stated in our official offer of admission letter that is being sent to you by mail.

"THE TIME STATED IN OUR OFFICIAL OFFER???" , which is the 4 days? but at their admissions-faq they didn't mention it !!

So here are my questions:

1. Is it possible to decline it after 4 days?
2. If I didn't notice them to decline it and I received other offers , can I enroll to other universities???

Your advice/opinion will be highly appreciated !! Thanks!

Hi, Sorry this maybe out of your context, but would you be able to confirm how long did York University take to issue an offer of admission to you? Which program?

If you have been given a deadline to accept your offer then yes that is the final date you will be able to accept your offer. I am not sure what else you are asking about. If you do not accept the offer then of course you can enroll elsewhere

You know that ontario schools usually gave deadline to May but in the email they told me 4 days to make decision?

And I found myfile system didn't show the acceptance letters section which I think the actual deadline is in there?

And if I accept , will I be able to change my mind in the future? I know OUAC system allow students to do that but I am not sure I can do this because I apply through the BEIJING REPRESENTITIVE ( by my agent actually = =)

You can change technically but doing so will break the 'good faith' presumption. Don't be surprised if that affects the university offering students of a similar background in the future offers to study because they had a bad experience with you

That's so sad... Because I technically wrongly click the accept and without any confirmation :(

And I didn't know that this is officially expression to go to the school because the last offer I had before this one requires 300 CAD to accept the offer....

And I will contact the office and ask why I didn't get acceptance letters ..

Thanks for noticing me of these things. I didn't know before.

Can you give me an update of the outcomes? I may be soon facing your same experience. Applied to 2 uni and it looks like YorkU is going to respond sooner
