But extending your stay in itself didn't help you get PR. It's a pointless exploitation of a loophole. Not illegal, but thoroughly pointless, and for some a matter of ethics.

Never claimed it did, neither did the questionnaire asked for the same. When cic gives you a nod to follow the genuine way of extending your stay in canada other than BOWP, how do ethics pop in? Anyway, pointless might be for some and for some a different perspective. let's not hijack this thread, the questionnaire asked for a way of extending his stay. Perhaps we should guide him and not lecture him on his motives.

This makes 100% sense to me.
What are you waiting for?
You can't add on your work exp and you won't get your ITA with your score.
Even if you get your ITA, it will take at least 6m, at which point you are to leave Canada.

First of All, If people can work legally in implied status, then people must go on implid status to increase the chance of increasing the points. Second thing after implied status you can live upto 3 months to restore your status, meanwhile being in Canada you can easily find the ways to get PR i.e, LMIA based job offers. What will you achieve after going backhome and that too spending a huge amount of money and not getting PR? I have never seen anyone going loke that, so its better not to advice someone which may be not helpful for them. It can be your personel view but you dont have valid points to justify it.
