Hi Everyone,

i've received my ITA on august 21 and have been trying to apply.
I have a technical issue preventing me from advancing any further and that is the "personal history form".
I have filled in all my details and i am trying to save it but i get an error message saying it is incomplete.
I have definitely filled in 10 years or more and yet the error doesn't change.

I've tried removing overlaps, making sure everything is in chronological order and even doing the whole thing over again.

Anyone have any idea????

Can't upload the images but here are urls (just add http:\\ at the beginning):

This is super urgent as the deadliine is coming up!

Before submitting it gives you an option to check the completeness of the form, i will suggest to re-enter all the details as follows;

2005/09 - 2005/10
2005/10 - 2009/09
2009/9 - 2012/04
2012/04 - 2012/06
2012/06 - 2013/4
2013/4 - 2014/3
2014/3 - 2015/8
2015/8 - present

Try this without overlapping it should show you complete.

Ok , I'll try that thank you!
But what should i do with things that actually overlapped in real life? should i just explain them later in a letter or something?

Thank you!

What is overlapping can you share what activity and duration use fake names but real activities

Basically I have two things overlapping (the other is in my spouse's form).

1. I started a job before officially graduating so i was working full time but was still officially a student (I didn't actually still attend university, just had a problem with my final project)
2. My Spouse worked throughout her university years.

In both cases the work is not relevant to our scores so it doesn't matter to me which one is written as long as it works and CIC don't think I lied...

If it is irrelevant to your score, just mention 'Education' throughout that period. This is too minor a detail to lose sleep over.

Ok,

Tried that,
Also tried either in ascending or descending order.
Still no go...

any other ideas?

The only reasons it wouldn't let you proceed are - if you aren't providing all the history going back 10+ years and/or there is a gap (could be just a month) in there somewhere. Chronology doesn't matter. Check everything again methodically, you'll get it.

All the best!

Got it!

For some reason it wanted to go further back than 10 years, once i added my highschool everything worked out!

Thanks everyone for your help!

I found that if i stayed logged in for too long, that would happen to me. My personal history was quite long and it took me time to fill it in. As soon as the small box appeared asking me to confirm whether i want to stay logged in appeared, i knew i was in trouble. Therefore, i would log put every 15 min or so and that's how i managed to finish it without a glitch. Before i figured that out, i lost my information about 3 or 4 times. I was terribly frustrated. I spent several days juat filling in my personal and travel history.
Another thing - make sure your internet connection is good. If it's too slow it becomes really challenging to finish it without losing information.
