Urgent help re: work permit verification

Yesterday I sent my passport with my IEC work permit attached to CPC ottawa for processing of my permanent residency. Today I was somewhat unexpectedly offered a job that requires a copy of my work permit. I forgot to make a copy and don't know how to prove I am a legal worker. I will need it within the next week. Can I contact CPC ottawa somehow and get them to send me a copy? Is there somewhere online I can go that shows my work permit was approved?

I've sent an email however the wait time is 20 days on average. Can you go into case processing centres and ask ffor help?

it would take more time to get any response.

better show your passport request to the company and tell them the story. They should understand.

your current employer might still have a copy maybe?
