Hi Everyone,

Need urgent help as i have been getting very vague answers from my lawyer and CIC.
I applied for my PR in March this year after getting the ITA in January. I also applied for my Bridged Open Work Permit in April which was due to expire in on June 16th.

My PR application was rejected due to some missing job duties on June 6th and because of that my work permit was rejected as well. I received the work permit rejection on June 15th. I want to re apply for my PR as soon as possible..
I have the following questions i need an answer to on a urgent basis:

1) By when exactly do I need to leave Canada legally? I have been hearing "as soon as possible" which is very vague as i have to close all accounts and work related formalities, book my flight tickets at a reasonable price etc.

2) I thought i had 90 days to restore my status but my lawyer told me it is not applicable on me since i have received an answer on my permit. Is it true?

3) What is the best option for me considering the above?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

1) You should leave within 30 days if you don't plan to restore your status. Note that for certain immigration programs, you must have valid status in Canada at the time you apply.
2) If your work permit was valid until July 16th, then you have 90 days from June 16th to apply for restoration.

To top that why don't you change your status to visitors, where they will issue visa for 6 months, but you need to show decent amount in bank for that, that way you are legal first to play around few other options.
