Urgent Help Pls-- Certified Copy of the original of Translated document

Dear Senior,

I'm sending my application in this week pls help me.

I have my birth certificate in my original language, I translated from a certified translator in Canada and she put her stamp on the original.

As per CIC website, I still have to provide a certified copy of the original and it should be as the following:

Certified To have a photocopy of a document certified, an authorized person must
copies or compare the original document to the photocopy and must print the
notarized following on the photocopy:
documents
• ‘‘I certify that this is a true copy of the original document''
• the name of the original document
• the date of the certification
• his or her name
• his or her official position or title
• his or her signature

When I took my documents to Notary Public he said he can put all above except exept the name of the original document as he can't understand my language.

My question now:
- Can he exclude the name of the original without issue with CIC. ??
- Can I just sent the copy which is stamped from the certified translator ??

Pls Advice me.

This is what I did when I was in your situation some months back.

1. Translated copy of original - you are good, I did the same - certified translator in canada did mine with his stamp
2. I took the original copy of birth certificate to notary and i asked for the certified copy. So the notary she took my original certi, and photocopied it in her machine, put her seal signature etc.

This was accepted by CIC. Btw, my notary she doesn't know my language at all. She told me she can do it because she is making a photocopy of the original doc in her machine herself.

Probably you might want to call some other notary n ask. Good Luck!

You are welcome. Okay I got ur question. I went back n checked my submission package copies.

She has put a seal that has:

Certified a true copy this <Date,Month,year>
Her signature
Her stamp containing name, title(barrister & solicitor), address of the firm & phone number.

I don't believe how can you not understand his question. he is just asking whether the name of the document , in this case "Birth Certificate " was on the letter.
