my name is prateek i have just completed my clasa 12 in food production which is basically related to hospitalty and culinary industry . and i have applied in niagara collage in the programme of culinary managment coop

my scores are
10-60 percent in each
12-71 foodproduction
eng-77
phyedu-63
punj-40
food prod-90
food prod-88

ilets -6 band each

can any body tell me what are my visa chances .

and my consultant is canam chandigarh they are saying that u dont need a SOP because ur case is fresh .

please guide me

Hi Prateek,

Your scores are good enough, your IELTS seems ok and meet the minimum criteria are met to get admissions.

The agent servicing you maybe right that you are a fresh case and you are continuing education without any breaks. Technically you have a straight forward case. Sending a SOP my complicate things for no reason.

a well crafted SOP enhances ones chance for a visa as it explains the purpose why a client have chosen a particular university/course/country it complicates things in the case if the SOP is vague and unclear. In your case your prior education and your selected courses are related so SOP is not a must but you should write one to present your case strongly. the rest is up-to you

In your case your prior education and your selected courses are related so SOP is not a must but you should write one to present your case strongly. the rest is up-to you

well i would disagree. SOP is not needed that being said.
SOP ,even though one communication is a way for you to explain ur case and present ur case to the visa officer. If done correctly it should either have a positive effect or no effect at all it will never have a bad effect. Again I strongly emphasize good SOP not just any copy paste SOP which those agents do.

thats your opinion SOP is an efficient way of explaining the purpose of your choice be it course or university in case of weakness it is a must to explain otherwise it presents your case to the VO in an efficient manner as there is a little chance that you will be called for an interview o answer these questions so its better that you write and submit it right away
The rest depends on the applicants choice whether he considers it as hassle or inflating his file
