I have just received the letter from CIC saying that the VISA letter is ready, and requesting my valid passport sending to their office within 60 days. However, I cannot leave my passport for the coming two months. Does anyone has encountered similar situation, and can help how to do. thx!

I had to go on a trip when they asked for my passport, but I came back before the 60 days was up. I believe you'd have to contact them (Reply to the email they sent you) and if that doesn't work, call them up. I think you can arrange for an extension.

Thanks so much for your suggestions! BTW, how did u contact the pilot office? every time I called CIC (1-888-242-2100), they told me that the case processing pilot: Ottawa office can only be reached by mail, fax, or email, but no phone. And on the website, no contact phone or office hour is provided. Thx

I just hit the reply button the the "Ready for Visa Letter".

Another way would be to email OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca and state your Application #, First & Last Name & Birthdate. They usually respond within a few days.

I am in similar situation..i received letter today but my wife wont be back to Canada before Feb 24 2014 and hence i would need an extension.

Could you please let me know if you are provided with an extension.

Good news! Is your PPR email from CPP-Ottawa? Based on your ECAS record, when did CIO-Sydney receive your application?

My visa office is Delhi. How to submit passport from Canada?
