urgent help needed

I applied for AINP from US and recently got a mail from Canada consulate asking me to send my passports for visa issuance. I have on my file 2 dependants (spouse and child). My spouse passport has been damaged and he has received new passport. Can i submit the newly issued passport for the visa. Pl take time and answer the question, it would really help me a lot.

Thanks for the Replay. Do i need to send the damaged passport along with the new one.

No. But you can include a letter that saying a new one was issued due to damage to old one.
