Urgent Help needed! NOC Question

Hello,

I have around 10 years experience as a Software professional, mainly on the technical side ( not as a manager ). My current occupation is software architect.

My profile matches with NOC 2173, but this is not listed in the 38 lists. Does this mean that I am not elgible for applying?. Can some please clarifies it?. I was about to send my application to Syndey, suddenly this thought came to my mind.

dear only 38 NOCs are eligible under Skilled Worker class, all other are not anymore entertained.
find in the announced 38 NOCs that somehow matches your profile.
 
you could also look for a job and try PR, go study in Canada or learn French and try Quebec's CSQ.

Though my designation is 'Software Architect". I have been doing many of the activities that is given under 0213 on and off many times. I believe the designation doesn't really matter. Correct?

Is it OK if I can get an experience lettter from the company which indicates some of the activities under 0213?
 
we think designation doesn't matter. i applied with one NOC while my title was of another NOC that is not in the list of 38.
 
OK.. Thanks. I will apply with NOC as 0213 for couple of years. As the need for 0213 is only for 1 year, I should be able to meet this, though I will not be able to get a experience letter with 'manager' as designation.
 
Speak to more people here so you can be more informs. I don't know much about 0213. Good luck.

If the information given in the link is correct, I obviously has to do some more research on this topic. I am surprised to see that, because many of the post here indicates that 'title' is not important.
 
Well. I applied with my title as a Teaching assistant (it has some NOC code). But the NOC code i chose was that of a college instructor because i have an unusual job in that it is more closer to college instructor. I explained this all to them and CIO accepted it. It could be that the visa office will reject it but at least for now, CIO has accepted it.

How did you explain this?. They have come back with more questions on this?
 
i explained this in my initial application.
 
in my job duties. I also added another sheet for job duties because the space wasn't enough
