Hi!
My family and I moved to Canada in 2012 from Bahamas under the temporary foreign worker program (me) as a Senior Barber/Instructor.I was approved for my first work permit and that expired last year.My employer and lawyer applied and filed for a new LMO as required, to renew my work permit before my old one expired. After almost an entire year of calling LMO and not getting any answers as to why my application is taking so long I finally received an answer
My employer finally received the letter in the mail from LMO which stated that my request for a positive LMO was rejected unfortunately.I am a bit sad about it because my employer under the guidance of my lawyer did everything that they were suppose to do which is why we don't understand the reason for the rejection. The letter stated that LMO did not think my employer can fully fulfill the terms of the employment contract.
My first application for a positive LMO was approved under the same conditions by this very same (Label Market Opinion)and everything was fine which is why I don't understand what the problem is this time if nothing changed. My lawyer is now working to appeal the rejection and is willing to prove that my employer can.I was so excited waiting to receive an answer from LMO. I was also planning to look into applying for permanent residency for my family and I since I met the requirements and finally found a place to call home.I really would like to stay in Canada and continue working as I love it here.
Any Advice.
