Hello,

Please read my situation. I really don’t know what to do. My study permit expires on February 28, 2022. I submitted my application on February 28 at around 9:00 EST (according to the IRCC website). However, the date on the application received on the letter of confirmation is March 1, 2022. My visa and study permit expire on the same day. I had COVID recently and my antigen is still positive, so going back is not an option. I am also working and my paycheck is coming out on March 10, 2022. WHAT DO I DO? Is my application going to be refused because I didn’t restore my status? I didn’t know when I submitted the application that the IRCC use UTC time.

Please help.

You can call IRCC and see if they will consider that it was submitted on Feb 28. If it is considered submitted on March 1st you must stop studying and working right away and you need to apply to restore your status and apply for a study permit. I would suggest talking to your local MP.
