Hi everyone..urgent help is needed... my friend sponsored his wife and he got the email from cic to submit her passport for the immigration visa ... now his wife is here in canada as a visitor and she doesnt want to go back all the way to pakistan to get her visa stamped .. what is the best way to do it without going back to pakistan ? Is it possible ? .. Can she courier her passport to VFS in Pakistan ? I heard that sending your passport via courier to another country is not legal ? Landing is not a problem as she will go to USA and come back as a landed immigrant ... the only issue is how to get the passport stamped ? Please advise ... thanks a lot

Not sure about Pakistan courier rules but i am very sure she can't get her passport mailed back to Canada, it is "Not allowed"
Why to jeopardize her immigration, Ask her to go back, get the passport stamped and land. Simple

I completely agree with other reader's suggestion. It illegal to send passport outside the country. The best way, you can call the CIC and explain the situation clearly.

Alternatively, you may request Canadian Consulate in Pakistan if they can transfer her file to Canadian Consulate in Buffalo, NY where she can go and get it stamped and enter Canada as "Landed Immigrant". Strictly follow whatever the CIC officials suggest.

Do not jeopardize her chances of living in this country. If authorities perceived it as an attempt to mislead them irrespective of any justification will have adverse consequences. It goes on her record and may be denied her Permanent Residency too.

Thanks everyone for the valuable suggestions .. thats why i love this forum .. cheers !!

It makes absolutely no sense to jeopardize one's immigration process because of the "inconvenience" of a trip.

It is a life changing process against just a trip. I don't think this should be even a difficult decision to make.
