Hello there,

I had last given IELTS back in October 2015 and got the score of 7.5 overall (with 8.5 in Listening, 7 each in Reading and Speaking AND 6.5 in Writing) ~ it is still valid till October 2017.

I also did Education Assessment back in July 2015 through World Education Service and got the following - Bachelor Degree (four years) and Postgraduate Certificate (one year) Canadian Equivalence.

I am 29 years old and single, turning 30 this December 16, 2017.

The last time when I created my profile with CIC, I got the score of 407.

I am an entrepreneur, running a well-known Internet Media Company with an overall experience of SIX plus years (started the firm back in 2011). It is a private limited company registered in New Delhi, India and got many well-known brands under its kitty.

My questions are -

1. Since my IELTS is still valid for another six months ~ what do you think, will it be beneficial on creating the profile again on CIC website (with current IELTS, I will be having 407 score in CIC).

2. What NOC will I select? I am in Internet-based business specializing in Advertising and Marketing. The company I am running is from home-setup while I got employees based in Hyderabad, India with technical things taken from companies like HostGator and BigRock (both are Indian company of an International brand).

3. Do you think that do the score will come down to 407 as the way it is coming down from past three months period?

4. Say if I create my CIC profile with 407 and even got selected AND in case, if my IELTS score got expired - will it be a problem.

5. Funds and other things - I do have in different family accounts but it can be transferred the very same time AND the proper documentation can be created so that it will be prove that all the money will belongs to me and I need not to return it.

6. How can I include my mother and sister in my application? as they are dependent on me. OR will it work more better if my sister works towards her own application and we both work towards getting our own paperwork done in order to secure PR. Still in this case, how I can take my mother with me as we got no one here in India.

7. I got my one close relative in Canada - my Mother's real sister ~ she is a citizen in Canada. Do she will be helpful in anyway? OR say if she can sponsor us.

Any guidance will be really helpful. Please help.

Thanks in advance.

You cannot include your sister or mother in your application. They are not classified as dependents for immigration purposes. If your sister wishes to immigrate, she will have to qualify on her own. You may qualify to sponsor your mother for PR once you have become a PR and have lived and worked in Canada for a number of years. However you won't be able to take your mother with you when you immigrate.

It's highly unlikely your aunt can sponsor you. Does she have children or a husband? Are either her parents still alive? Does she have any other family living in Canada? If the answer to any of these questions is yes - she cannot sponsor you.

We don't know if the score will go as low as 407. However you might as well set up a profile and hope it does.

That is understandable.

Yes, my aunt is having her own family in Canada - they are living in the country for over 10 years now. Do she be able to sponsor my mother. And also what other options I am having with me, so that I can take my mother along with me. Do the country offers multiple years visa (travel visa kind or so on).

We don't know if the score will go as low as 407. However you might as well set up a profile and hope it does.

Since my IELTS now is left only for six months ~ what do you think what will be the perfect strategy at this time. Do I give the IELTS again and try to gain more higher points. OR just fill up the CIC application form and wait for my luck to roll in my favor??

Thanks.

I strongly advise to improve your IELTS, get jump of 50 points and be invited in very next ITA. There is no problem in making profile as long as IELTS is valid.

2. What NOC will I select? I am in Internet-based business specializing in Advertising and Marketing. The company I am running is from home-setup while I got employees based in Hyderabad, India with technical things taken from companies like HostGator and BigRock (both are Indian company of an International brand).

----------------

3. Do you think that do the score will come down to 407 as the way it is coming down from past three months period?

Very unpredictable. I can say that it will remain under 450 provided 3000 invitations every week.

4. Say if I create my CIC profile with 407 and even got selected AND in case, if my IELTS score got expired - will it be a problem.

No , not a problem. If your IELTS expire after ITA then that is not a problem at all

5. Funds and other things - I do have in different family accounts but it can be transferred the very same time AND the proper documentation can be created so that it will be prove that all the money will belongs to me and I need not to return it.

OK good. You have pof cleared then

Anyone older than 18 years will not be considered as dependent. For the case of your mother, it could come at later stage. You will have to secure things for yourself first.

7. I got my one close relative in Canada - my Mother's real sister ~ she is a citizen in Canada. Do she will be helpful in anyway? OR say if she can sponsor us.

You can claim adaptability points if you can prove your relationship with her, and she can prove that she is currently residing in Canada.

Any guidance will be really helpful. Please help.

Thanks in advance.

You've already completed the pre-requisites to enter the pool, so there's no reason not to. Put it this way, you can't receive an invite if you're not in the pool.

Can you please use this tool - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp - to see what you score is. Then, increase the Writing score from 6.5 to 7 and see what your new score is. If I have calculated it correctly, increasing your IELTS Writing score will have a huge impact on your overall CRS.

If it would indeed increase your CRS by a lot, I would seriously consider studying and re-taking IELTS. Don't underestimate how much impact the language test has.

Alternatively you can just wait, the cut-off may drop low enough. Just bear in mind that your IELTS needs to be valid (not expired) at the point you submit your PR application - you have 90 days to submit once you receive an invite. 6 months may be a bit tight, its hard to say.

Regarding money, the money needs to be in your account for 6 months at the point you apply for PR, so I would arrange this asap. I think gifts are ok but you'll need to ask other about the detail, you basically have to prove that the money is not a loan.

Best of luck!

Yes, my aunt is having her own family in Canada - they are living in the country for over 10 years now. Do she be able to sponsor my mother. And also what other options I am having with me, so that I can take my mother along with me. Do the country offers multiple years visa (travel visa kind or so on).
No - your aunt cannot sponsor your mother.

There are no options available that will allow you to take your mother with you to Canada permanently. Best case scenario your mother may qualify for a visitor visa which would allow her to come to Canada temporarily - but sooner or later she would have to return home. Until you are in Canada and have a job that meets the low income requirements, the most your mother will qualify for is a regular visitor visa. To be approved, she will need to demonstrate strong ties to her home country and prove she has no plans on remaining in Canada long term. If she hasn't traveled extensively in the past, I would recommend you ask for a visit of 2-3 weeks at most. Note there is no guarantee a visitor visa for your mother will be approved.

Once you are working in Canada and meet the income requirements, you may qualify to apply to bring your mother to visit on a super visa. Once again, she will need to prove strong ties to her home country to be approved.

Thanks everyone for your responses.

All the things are well understandable.

One major question - how I can select the correct NOC for myself.

Let me try to explain my work profile -

I am heading an internet media PRIVATE LIMITED company based in India. Running the company from home office with remote staff (mainly freelancers). I started the company back in 2011 with properly incorporated it with Indian Government company arm. The company is having clientèle from all over the world and is specializes in Advertising and Marketing (editorial based).

Further, I am taking the salary cut regularly from first year onwards with filling up my Income Tax Return on yearly basis.

For the billing proof, majority (95%) of my payments are processed via PayPal. So, for this, I can show the transaction sheets and so on.

I had authored three books so far ~ even many media channels interviewed me in the past plus recently PayPal listed me as one of budding entrepreneur in their Indian list of Entrepreneur 2017.

Also, instead of saying myself as a self-employed, I feel Internet Entrepreneur will be more of a correct word for myself.

My education background -

Did Bachelor Of Engineering (Four Years) in Computer from 2005-09
And Postgraduate Certificate in Computing Specialization from 2009-10

As per World Education Service, it is equivalent to Bachelor (four years) plus Postgraduate Certificate (one year) under Canadian Education system.

So, please guide which NOC will make a perfect case here.

Thanks.

Hi Karen. I'm floating in a similar boat. I started and ran a Marketing Consulting Pvt. Ltd. from India as a director and primary shareholder. Now I am not sure how to showcase this experience in the Express Entry application. Any insight on this?
