This is where I get inspired to learn more and being creative to keep myself updated in the marketing trend. The above statement may already have realised you are with a marketing professionals. It is my pleasure to introduce myself as a huge digital marketing and innovation enthusiasts. For that reason, I’ve been searching a suitable program that fits my career goal. And I’m very delighted to inform I’ve been offered a place to study Postgraduate Certificate in Digital & Content Marketing unconditionally at York University in Canada based on my academic and relevant work experiences. This the is exact program that suits my needs in terms of level of program and duration.
Why Study in Canada:
It is obvious that Canada has one of the greatest education systems in the world. There’s no doubt about their education quality and living standard. Having a study abroad experience in the UK persuade me for further higher education in abroad. I had the intention to study abroad only if I find relevant program that suits my interests and needs. So I found York University offering the exact short of postgraduate program. Also the university ranking has hugely influenced to proceed it further once I’ve been offered a place to study. Canada allow to explore entire new education system, experience completely different new society, culture, diversity etc. Canada offers very affordable living expense for international students specially comparing to the UK where I’ve studied in the past. I also love to experience new country as my study destinations.
Why studying Digital Marketing at York University?
Technology is integrated into our lives more than ever before. We own smartphones, conversational AI devices such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Apple Siri, laptops and tablets. With so many people online, its essential for businesses to be online as well. As our online presence continues to grow the way we make online purchases will continue to evolve. Digital marketing is very significant because more and more customer is online; digital marketing is an immediate way to reach them. Traditional marketing can no longer reach people quite like digital marketing. Almost half of marketing jobs require digital skills, employers are having trouble finding qualified digital marketing professionals to join their teams. So wherever we go these days Digital Marketing professionals have similar demand like a coder.

Why I’m not pursuing this program in Bangladesh?
Digital and creative marketing such a new era of marketing and sells. Bangladesh has just started knowing the benefits of technological revolution. Government and private sector specially has huge demand for digital marketing specialists but there’s huge lack of skilled labour.
Literally, there’s no institutes in Bangladesh who provides graduate level digital marketing qualifications rather than traditional marketing program. Digital marketing professionals required constant training and facilities in order to be on the top of their knowledge. Those trainings also required updated and advanced curriculum to facilitate marketing and sales professionals. There’s no such program offering in Bangladesh which is government approved, recognised, or any accreditation.
Employment prospects in Bangladesh:
Where other part of the world advanced a lot in terms of IT, Bangladesh remains at the bottom to produce IT professionals. However, government has taken various initiatives program like A2I (Access to Information Project), iDEA etc. Government has plan to become a Digital Bangladesh by 2021 where lots of IT professionals are required. Various start-up projects have been launched with government and private initiatives for new entrepreneurs in the ICT sector.
Many jobs are expected to be created in the digital marketing space within a couple of years as more companies tap the internet and the social media platforms to bolster business. Bangladesh is emerging as a digital outsourcing hub for diverse services including online advertising, social media, website design and development. Rising demand is also spurred by increased use of the internet and mobile phones besides fast growing e-commerce businesses. With the launch of 4G in Bangladesh, the possibilities of the digital marketing have taken a new direction.
In recent years, employment in digital marketing has grown up to 52 percent according to a survey report. Even many digital marketing professionals are earning foreign currencies as independent freelancers. However, the availability of talent is less than demand. Almost every single brand has put in place a digital marketing strategy and is struggling to hire people to execute the same.
Although I’ve something different in my mind. Rather than seeking for job I would like to create my own start-up based on my skills and knowledge in the sector. There are so many IT companies in Bangladesh but very few digital marketing agencies who can deliver quality leads and provide customised digital media solutions to their clients. This is where I focus on building my own digital marketing agency.
Family Background & Ties:
I came from a very respected family and my parents are retired now. I’ve three elder sisters all married and living independently with their own families. I’m the only son of my parents and traditionally son’s carry their family legacy. I’ve planned for very short program to study Canada. So then I can come back quickly to look after my families and properties. Specially our agricultural lands required to manage with the farmers once or twice yearly. My father is not in that position physically to care everything at this age.
I got married last year and expecting my first baby coming on October this year. It is very difficult to chose study rather than staying with my wife and enjoy being a father. If my application gets approved I’ve to leave before my baby born but I’m very lucky that my wife supporting and inspiring to move on with this so that I can achieve my goals. While I study in Canada my wife and unborn child will be staying with my father-in-laws family. Socially and financially I’ve very strong ties in Bangladesh.
In conclusion, I would like you to consider my application carefully and approve study permit in Canada for my proposed program. I also confirm after finishing my studies successfully I will be coming back to my families and my country.
