I have few questions before I submit my application to CIC. Expert advice would be appreciated.

1. My spouse had different names due to following reasons: 1. Name in birth certificate is different from whatever is mentioned in educational documents. I.e. SANIA was mentioned in the birth certificate but later she used SANYA. Only spelling is different for first name. 2. Last name spelling is different in educational and identity documents. I.e. KAPOOR is mentioned in all educational docs however in identity docs it is mentioned as KAPUR. And after marriage, her Last name again changed. Now, my question is while filling form for personal details for her, should I mention all these names? I have an affidavit stating the same which I will upload as a different name used proof.

2. I have 2 different addresses from last 10 years stay in New Delhi. This is because we sold our old house and shifted to new one. 5-5 years in both the places. Now the question is, would Police clearance certificate from Passport office on my latest passport would work to meet requirement from CIC or multiple PCC would be required? Same goes for my spouse. PCC from PSK on latest passport work or she still needs to get PCC on old address (before marriage address) too?

3. In the documents checklist generated, CIC has not asked to upload IELTS certificates. Probably they would directly verify. However should we still upload IELTS certificates with other educational documents? Is there any harm in doing this?

4. For the account statements, Can I show funds available in my spouse account along with my account statements? My spouse is accompanying me to Canada. Also, can I show account statements where last name is different for her. This is because this account was opened before marriage and she still operates this account.

5. How much old statements should be uploaded? I had taken statements a month back. Will it ok to upload the same or I should get the latest ones?

6. Is there any expiry on attestation dates? My attested docs are more than 6 months old now. I need to get those attested again or the existing 6 months old attested docs would work?

Not required.

Just 1 PCC would suffice.

No harm. not required.

4. For the account statements, Can I show funds available in my spouse account along with my account statements? My spouse is accompanying me to Canada. IRCC asks for POF from PA. If you can get your name added to that account, that account can certainly be used as POF. Haven't had any confirmation yet from forum members about successful use of spouse funds as POF.

5. How much old statements should be uploaded? I had taken statements a month back. Will it ok to upload the same or I should get the latest ones?

Recommend that you get fresh statements.

6. Is there any expiry on attestation dates? My attested docs are more than 6 months old now. I need to get those attested again or the existing 6 months old attested docs would work?

If the documents pertain to events more than 6 months old, they can be used.

Just the one name

2. I have 2 different addresses from last 10 years stay in New Delhi. This is because we sold our old house and shifted to new one. 5-5 years in both the places. Use the PSK PCC

3. In the documents checklist generated, CIC has not asked to upload IELTS certificates. Probably they would directly verify. However should we still upload IELTS certificates with other educational documents? Is there any harm in doing this?

You are not required to upload this, but if you want to, you can make it a part of your Education credentials uploads file.

4. For the account statements, Can I show funds available in my spouse account along with my account statements? My spouse is accompanying me to Canada. Also, can I show account statements where last name is different for her. This is because this account was opened before marriage and she still operates this account.

Unless it's a joint account, no. If it is not, either get yourself added as an account holder, or have the funds transferred to an account you hold, with a letter of explanation attached explaining where the money came from.

5. How much old statements should be uploaded? I had taken statements a month back. Will it ok to upload the same or I should get the latest ones?

They should always be current- so the most recent one before you apply.

6. Is there any expiry on attestation dates? My attested docs are more than 6 months old now. I need to get those attested again or the existing 6 months old attested docs would work?

You can use them, if they are still accurate and relevant.

Thanks for clarifying however just to give more light on this, I did send the same statements (my and spouse individuals) for SINP and got nomination. Does CIC considers these statements differently?
-----------------------------------------------

One more question - Can we use Providend fund statements and Public providend statements? Will these be considered?

CIC's requirements are a bit different and more stringent, yes.
By provident funds, do you mean a pension scheme fund? I don't think that would work, since pension funds are not liquid in India.
