Hi,

I just wanted to find out what are the documents that Canadian employers ask for when they hire somebody? I know that in India they have a huge list, not sure about Canada so wanted to check. Specifically with regards to previous employment. In most Indian companies the notice period ranges between 1-3 months, in Canada its just 2 weeks, so would there be any potential disqualification or issues if I am forced to abandon my Indian employer and join a Canadian company because of the disparity in notice periods? Please help URGENT!!

All the best & God Bless

Cheers,
Rishab

If you're a PR, they normally require copy of IDs, diplomas and references. They do background checks here i.e. criminal, previous employment before they hire you.

In my case, the entire process is close to a month.

There is not a lot of documentation needed. They will ask for copies of your educational certificates and references. refernce check from past employers is the key and critical thing
